Begin with a short stroll to the historic Raffles Hotel, one of Singapore’s most iconic landmarks. Established in 1887 and declared a National Monument in 1987, this colonial-style hotel remains a beacon of elegance and has hosted famous personalities such as Charlie Chaplin, Elizabeth Taylor and Ava Gardner.

The hotel’s architecture and lush gardens are perfect for a leisurely walk, and the Raffles Arcade offers luxury shopping opportunities. You can also head to the Long Bar and enjoy a Singapore Sling, the city’s signature cocktail, created right here in 1915 or visit the Raffles Gift Shop to take home some elegant souvenirs.

Additional Tips:

  • Transportation: The entire route is approximately 6km. Alternatively, you may wish to opt for Singapore’s efficient public transport system, including the MRT and buses.
  • Weather Considerations: If you’re not familiar with Singapore’s tropical climate, it might take some time to adjust. We recommend staying hydrated, wearing light and comfortable clothing, and keeping an umbrella handy for unexpected rain. Since some places are air-conditioned, bringing a shawl or jacket could also be useful.
